Who we are

This website is operated under the Hardwood Windows trading name. The data controller for personal data collected through this site is S&K Group Holdings Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16703925, registered office Unit 1 Hems Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG.

What we collect

  • Enquiry data — name, telephone number, email address, postcode, the product you are interested in, your timescale and anything you write in the message field.
  • Guide price data — the specification you select in the pricing tool, if you choose to send it with an enquiry.
  • Live chat data — the name, contact details and message you provide in the chat window.
  • Analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site, collected through Google Analytics 4.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey and provide a quotation. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
  • To carry out work you have instructed. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • To improve the website and understand how it is used. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
  • To meet accounting, tax and consumer-protection obligations. Lawful basis: legal obligation.

Who processes it

Enquiry forms are delivered by Web3Forms. Live chat is provided by Tawk.to. Analytics is provided by Google Analytics 4. The site is hosted by Netlify. Each acts as a processor under our instruction. We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 24 months. Records relating to completed work are retained for seven years to meet accounting and warranty obligations. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, have inaccurate data corrected, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, and request portability. To exercise any of these, email the address above. We will respond within one calendar month.

If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This site sets a small number of cookies. Google Analytics sets analytics cookies to measure usage. Tawk.to sets a cookie to maintain your chat session. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will continue to work.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is transmitted over an encrypted connection and delivered to a monitored mailbox. Access is limited to staff who need it to respond to you.
