Terms and conditions

Website use

The content of this website is for general information. We take care to keep it accurate but make no warranty that it is complete or current. Nothing on this site forms a contractual offer.

Guide prices

Prices shown anywhere on this site, including those produced by the guide price tool, are indicative estimates only. They are generated from typical rates and do not take account of your specific opening, access, structural condition or finishing requirements. They are not a quotation and do not bind either party. Only a written quotation issued after a measured survey is a firm price.

Surveys and quotations

Measured surveys are provided free of charge and without obligation. Written quotations remain open for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Quotations are based on the conditions observed at survey; if concealed defects are found once existing joinery is removed, we will stop, tell you, and agree any variation in writing before continuing.

Orders and manufacture

Nothing is manufactured until you have approved the section drawing in writing. Because every unit is made to your measurements and specification, approved orders cannot be cancelled once manufacture has begun. Lead times quoted are estimates in working weeks from drawing approval.

Payment

Payment terms are stated on your quotation. A deposit is normally payable on order with the balance due on completion of installation. We accept bank transfer and card. Title in the goods passes on payment in full.

Guarantee

We guarantee our joinery and installation for ten years from the date of completion. Sealed glazing units carry their own manufacturer's warranty. Accoya timber carries a 50-year above-ground warranty from the material supplier. The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover accidental damage, alterations by others, failure to carry out reasonable maintenance, or normal weathering of a finish.

Maintenance obligation

Timber joinery requires periodic maintenance to remain guaranteed. This means washing the frames twice a year, inspecting the finish annually, and recoating when the finish begins to break down — typically every eight to ten years on exposed elevations. Maintenance guidance is issued on completion.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where a contract is concluded away from our premises you have a 14-day cancellation right, which you may waive in writing in order for bespoke manufacture to begin sooner.

Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our liability is limited to the contract value.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
